Deities

Hikari
Hikari, the Sun-God, is a powerful and possessive deity who commands the skies with his radiant presence. Known for his unwavering determination and fiery temper, Hikari's influence is felt in every sunrise and sunset. His love for the Moon-Goddess Luna was intense, but her betrayal with the Wolf-God Okami ignited his wrath, leading him to curse the world and its inhabitants.
As the ruler of the heavens, Hikari's children, born during the day, inherit his ethereal beauty and grace, destined to live among the floating islands in the sky. Despite his stern and vengeful nature, Hikari is also a creator, responsible for the majestic landscapes and life forms that populate the world. His relentless pursuit of control and dominance often leads to conflict, both with other deities and within the mortal realm. Hikari's legacy is one of power, pride, and an unyielding desire to maintain order under his divine rule.

Luna
Luna, the Moon-Goddess, embodies serene beauty and gentle yet profound influence over the night. Her luminescent presence guides the tides and watches over the world with a calm, nurturing light. Despite her tranquil exterior, Luna's heart is marked by deep love and sorrow. She cherished Hikari, the Sun-God, yet also fell for the Wolf-God Okami, a dual affection that led to her bearing twin daughters and igniting Hikari's wrath.
Cursed and bound by Hikari, Luna spends one night a month hidden from the sky, during which she weeps tears that birth the mischievous yokai spirits. Her empathy and kindness extend beyond her own suffering, as seen when she aided the ocean goddess Umimizu after her tragic encounter with Hikari. Luna's legacy is one of enduring love, quiet strength, and a profound connection to the natural world, making her a cherished deity of the night and a symbol of resilience against oppression.

Okami
Okami, the Wolf-God, is a noble and empathetic deity who roams the forests and lowlands, embodying the spirit of the wild. Known for his loyalty and soothing presence, Okami is a protector and companion to the Moon-Goddess Luna during her lonely nights, serenading her with songs and stories of his adventures. His gentle nature and deep love for Luna led to their secret romance, resulting in the birth of their daughter, who inherited his keen senses and wolf-like features.
When Hikari discovered the affair, Okami faced the Sun-God's wrath, enduring a curse that banished him to the underworld. Despite this, Okami's legacy lives on in his descendants, who possess his courage and resilience. The children of Okami, born during the night, navigate the challenges of the lowlands with strength and solidarity, often looked upon as wise and capable leaders. Okami's story is one of love, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication to those he cares for, making him a revered figure among his followers.

Umimizu
Umimizu, the Ocean Goddess, is a fierce and formidable deity who rules the seas with unmatched strength and grace. Known as the virgin warrior of the gods, she embodies the power and mystery of the ocean depths. Umimizu's defiance and independence set her apart, even drawing the obsessive attention of the Sun-God Hikari. Despite his attempts to woo her with lavish gifts, she steadfastly refused him, valuing her autonomy above all.
Hikari's eventual violation of Umimizu transformed her into a vengeful force, cursing her with a mermaid's form that bound her to the sea. However, the compassionate Moon-Goddess Luna bestowed upon her and her descendants the ability to shed their tails and walk on land at night, a gift that allowed them to reclaim some of their lost freedom.
Umimizu's children, known as the Ebisu and Mizuchi, spread across the waters, carrying her fierce spirit and warrior's heart. She trained her daughter to become a powerful and fearsome leader, ready to challenge Hikari and protect their oceanic realm. Umimizu's story is one of resilience, strength, and unyielding determination to safeguard her lineage and seek justice against the wrongs inflicted upon her.

Helios
Helios, the God of Resilience and Knowledge, is a wise and compassionate deity who stands apart from the tumultuous passions of his brother, Hikari. Known for his intellect and unwavering strength, Helios plays a crucial role in the divine pantheon. During the fierce conflict between Hikari and Okami, Helios repaid a long-standing debt to Luna, who had once saved him from darkness. In gratitude, Helios created Helians, sculpting them from clay and infusing them with his own hair, granting them resilience and intellect.
Helios's Helians were sent to aid in caring for the children of the gods, serving as advisors, assistants, and laborers. Respected among all races, these beings embody the balance and wisdom Helios champions. Within their own society, Helians developed a range of classes, from the wealthy and powerful to the humble and impoverished, reflecting the diversity of their divine creator's gifts.
Helios's legacy is one of balance, support, and enlightenment, his creations bridging the divine and mortal realms with their unique blend of resilience and knowledge. Through Helians, Helios continues to influence the world, fostering harmony and understanding among the children of the gods.
