Children of Helios
(Helians)

During the ancient conflict between Hikari and Okami, Helios, the God of Resilience and Knowledge and brother of Hikari, sought to repay a debt to Luna, who had once rescued him from darkness. To fulfill this debt, Helios created Helians in his image, molding them from clay and strands of his hair. He then sent them to help take care of the Children of the gods. Helians became advisors, assistants, and laborers, respected among the other races for their adaptability and resilience. Though they have their own societal classes, ranging from rich to poor, Helians play a crucial role in the harmony and function of the world.

Children of the Wolf-God (Okami)

When the Sun-God cast the Wolf-God into the darkness and split his head into three, blood rained from the heavens. Each drop created a mortal child of the Wolf-God. They generally refer to their kind as the Okami. The Okami are ruled by the immortal Empress, daughter of the Wolf-God. They are seen as lessers to the other children of the gods. While Healians are just below them in terms of hierarchy, they are seen as the lowest of races, especially to the children of the sun. Children born at night are born as children of the Wolf-God. Each of the Okami has an alpha; however, the daughter of the Wolf-God is considered alpha over all. The genes of the Hikari and Okami are the strongest of all races, so should either race pair with a helian or child of the sea, the child will either be born as a Hikari or Okami depending on the time of day. However, there is always a rare chance that the pair will give birth to a Yokai.

Children of the Sun-God (Hikari)

The Hikari, known as the Sun Children, are a proud and diverse race created from the feathers of the Sun-God during his battle with the Wolf-God. Their origins are intertwined with divine myth, and they inhabit the floating islands, where they are recognized for their genius inventions, artistic talents, and mastery of metals and precious stones. The Hikari society is highly organized, governed by a theocratic system that emphasizes beauty, light, and order.

The Hikari appear in various forms, from anthropomorphic birds to ethereal humanoids with avian features. They can be categorized into two main breeds: Harpies and Seraphs. Harpies are fierce and militaristic, with bird heads, powerful wings, and bird-like legs. They serve as the race's military and law enforcers. Seraphs, on the other hand, are elegant and ethereal, often working as diplomats, artisans, and religious figures. Both breeds are characterized by their stunning plumage, sharp eyes, and the ability to speak both Common and avian tongues.

The Hikari's rich culture, divine heritage, and striking appearance make them a formidable and influential race in their world.

Children of the Moon-Goddess
(Yokai)

The True Antevasins:
Born from the Moon without an immortal father, the Yokai are celestial beings who embody the connection between the divine and mortal realms. They are spirits and mythic creatures of Japanese folklore, known as tricksters, sages, mystics, and healers. While their existence is rare, their birth is always considered a sign of Luna's influence — either as a blessing or a lesson. They are highly respected by all children of the gods, particularly the Hikari and Okami.

Umimizu.png

Children of the Water-Goddess (Umimizu)

When the Sun-God Hikari sought to dominate the fierce and independent Ocean Goddess Umimizu, he was met with fierce resistance and rejection. Despite his gifts and advances, Umimizu's refusal led to a violent confrontation where the Sun-God cursed her, transforming her legs into a mermaid's tail and confining her to the ocean. From her sorrow and strength, the Umimizu race was born, inheriting her fierce independence and warrior spirit.
